Aussie-style Kampmeeting is a wonderful gathering of members from all over the country and other parts of the world who share the same Adventist background and sexual orientation. We welcome our friends who support us and value an inclusive environment. We look forward with keen anticipation to this time of the year when we are invigorated physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. At this time we are surrounded by old and new friends--our extended family.
About the location and accommodation
Lismore, 'river city' with a population of just over 25,000 is regarded as the principal city of the far north coast region of New South Wales. Situated 230 kilometers south of Brisbane and is less than 45minutes drive from the coast.

About the Program
The theme for this year’s program is “Rejuvenation.”
To help us on this path, we have invited very competent professional speakers from both inside and outside the Adventist Church. The speakers include Psychologists, Pastors, Counselors, Physicians--people who know about homosexual dynamics and implications. They will help us be rejuvenated with our spiritual, emotional and physical health. They will help us to grow in our day to day relationships, knowing our particular background and needs. Most of them are also available for individual conversation and consultation, should you be interested.
Program
Friday 3 October will begin with a unique evening vespers. In the Forest Room
Saturday at Kampmeeting is always a very special time together and if you have not been part of it, you will have the best day of your life. The day will be filled with music and a spiritual message centred on love, acceptance, understanding, encouragement, faith and hope. We have excellent speakers for the day.
Program to be advised.
Sunday 5 October
BBQ and transport will be provided to see the attractions of Lismore and surrounding area.
Things to see:
Nimbin Rocks
The remains of an ancient, eroded volcanic dyke, the Nimbin Rocks are located on the Lismore Road 3 km south of the town. The rocks have special significance to the local Aborigines who regard them as a sacred burial site. They can be seen on the west side of the road.
Nightcap National Park
The ridges, peaks and gullies of Nightcap National Park consist of solidified and eroded lava from the extinct Mt Warning volcano that once covered 4000 square km from Coraki in the south to Beenleigh in the north, from Kyogle in the west to the volcanic reefs in the ocean to the east.
The fertile soil which derived from the igneous rock, together with the state's highest rainfall, has created one of the state's finest sections of subtropical rainforest. Some of the park's enormous brush box trees are thought to be up to 1500 years old. The park is also of spiritual importance to the Bundjalung Aboriginal people and is now World Heritage listed.
